Rainy Foley Fun Days

This would be the second day IN A ROW in which it rained cats and dogs, and me being without my raincoat :( at least I remembered my rainboots this day.

Thanks to Kimm Andersen who was with me at this parade, he was able to capture the true feelings I was expressing to the rain.

Let's get WILD

I went to the Minnesota Wild Caravan, where some players were signing autographs for fans before the season starts up.

Here are some of the keepers from that afternoon.

what to buy...what to buy....

As I'm sitting here at work, waiting for something news worthy to happen, I am looking though all the things I NEED to buy.

here are the choices...there are a few things that might out way the others.

first I would enjoy getting a 7d...with a rebate makes the idea of purchasing my own much more appealing.
I'm not a person who enjoys carrying my camera naked...as in without a bag some days. So I feel like having a purse like this, not my normal camera back pack, would be a useful thing.
I had ordered a new backpack about a month ago, and when I received it I had realized that it was not what I wanted, so now I'm waiting and hoping I can exchange my sucky bag for this bag I would like :)

this would be such a fun little toy to have... near the bottom of the list on needs, but I feel like you could add so much more fun stuff to projects with this.

Hello there B-roll

I got the chance to work with video the other day while double teaming on an assignment with the another photographer.
I only did b-roll, not the interview, or the editing job.
If you zone out during the video I understand, I do as well, and just watch it for my super cute, and awesome b-roll shots. I am not really sure why you don't hear any of the nat sound in the video, it was probably laziness on someone's part, but if I had the chance, I would re work it to hear more sound, because this is everything we learn what NOT to do at WKU PJ.

St Cloud Pawn Stars

Well not really but we are doing a story about how pawn shops are getting more popular because of the show, Pawn Stars.
I went to the pawn shop, my first time, I expected a seedy place, but it was okay, might have to stop back again and pick up some DVDs!

Rain, rain, go away

Okay WKU PJ, I was not prepared for down pours. Yes we have rain at WKU, but I never had to shoot it in before. That should be a mandatory thing in practicum, yea Mr. B said "it would be a good idea," but that doesn't mean I actually did it! And of course I didn't have my rain coat or rain boots today :( hello super wet sperry's.
But before this wet afternoon, I started my day with another staff photographer, following some old people bike...I did mostly video, but I will add one photo from that, to get an idea.

Trying to follow something that is moving isn't a good photo opp, but video did make up for that a little. We'll see this in a couple weeks.

Spunktacular Days

My first minnesota festival!!! Avon Spunktacular days, filled with turtle races, water ball fights, "bean bag toss, not to be confused with the normal calling of "corn hole", petting zoo, games, and more. But I am glad I was able to experience my first turtle race :)

Couple days behind

I'm a couple days behind, because I like to wait for the photos to be published before I go and add them to my blog :)

A lot of learning has been going on lately. With just trying to get the tricks of the trade and not listening to what some people say, because they usually don't have a clue either.
