Weekly post: 5/27-6/2

I'm not sure if anyone actually looks at my blog but I am pretty dang proud of myself for having updated like three weeks in a row now.

That might not seem like much to some but after like a two year drop off- it's good. haha

In this edition of 'What did Kaitlin shoot last week':
• Cardboard Drive-in
• Memorial Day
• Kids Yoga
• CU theater camp

Main Street in downtown Campbellsville was transformed into a drive-in theater Saturday night as Amazon SDF-1 and Townhall Productions hosted

Toddlers and teens found their inner peace last week when free yoga classes were hosted at the Taylor County Extension Office. Clancy Leonard of Chicago offered four sessions of classes, and about 25 children took part. Leonard focused on teaching different yoga postures, along with basic breathing and stretching techniques. She also incorporated music and crafts into her class. “I just want to the spread the word about yoga, that it means union and it’s about posture and physical energy, being able to bring balance with spirituality,” she said.

The annual youth theater camp and musical at Campbellsville University was in full sing last week. Students learned live theater experience, arts education and team building all in preparation of the final performance. This year’s camp musical is Disney’s The Lion King Jr. Performance dates are set for Friday, June 10 and June 11, at 7 p.m. and Sunday, June 12, at 2:30 p.m. in the Russ Mobley Theater on campus. General admission tickets are $7 while seniors (65 and up), children (12 and under), CU employees and students are $5. The production is a collaboration between CU Theater, Town Hall Productions, Campbellsville Elementary and Taylor County Middle schools. Above, students leap and dance as Sarah Durham leads the class.
